Dorrigo Neighbourhood Services Coordinator

Position Overview
Neighbourhood Centres of Bellingen Shire Inc is seeking to employ a capable, community-minded person to coordinate Dorrigo Neighbourhood Services.
This role is based at Dorrigo Neighbourhood Centre and supports the delivery of locally based services, activities and practical assistance for people living on the Dorrigo Plateau. The position also includes some tasks linked to Dorrigo Youth Centre, particularly in relation to volunteers, premises and community use of the space.
The Coordinator works with community members, volunteers, local services, outreach providers and the wider NCoBS team to help people access timely support, information, referral options, material aid and advocacy. The role also supports social participation and skills development activities, local partnerships, centre administration, data collection and reporting.
The position is fixed term and part-time, working 16 hours per week. A minimum of five hours per day between 9:30am and 3:00pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, inclusive of a half-hour unpaid lunch break, is to be worked at Dorrigo Neighbourhood Centre.
The Dorrigo Neighbourhood Services Coordinator will:
coordinate timely assistance for people accessing the Neighbourhood Centre, including material aid, accurate information, referral options and advocacy support
work with NCoBS staff, local community members and other stakeholders to facilitate targeted social participation and skills development activities for residents of the Dorrigo Plateau
engage and encourage identified priority groups to participate in services and community activities
coordinate the volunteer program for Dorrigo Neighbourhood Centre and Dorrigo Youth Centre
coordinate hire and use of the Neighbourhood Centre and Youth Centre premises and facilities by outreach services and community groups
build and maintain positive working relationships within NCoBS and with services, networks and stakeholders in Dorrigo and across the Bellingen Shire
liaise with external providers to encourage service and program outreach to the Dorrigo Plateau
meet administrative, data collection, reporting and accountability requirements
work in line with NCoBS policies, procedures, values, work health and safety requirements, and child safety responsibilities.

Dorrigo Neighbourhood Centre provides a local, accessible point of contact for people on the Dorrigo Plateau seeking information, support, referral pathways, community connection and access to services. The Centre is also a place where volunteers, community groups, outreach services and local initiatives can connect with community need and local strengths.
Dorrigo Youth Centre provides a local youth space and point of contact for young people, with NCoBS youth workers and programs connected to the broader Bellingen and Nambucca Youth Services team.

can build positive relationships with volunteers, local services, community groups and stakeholders
is comfortable with basic reporting, data collection and administration.
