D&D Workshop Day

FREE - REGISTRATION ESSENTIALStep into a full day of Dungeons & Dragons at the Bellingen Youth Hub this Youth Week. Open to young people aged 12 to 18, this special event is designed for both complete beginners and experienced players, with a mix of learning, creativity and play across the day.
The program includes masterclass sessions on how to start playing D&D, build characters, improve your roleplay and even begin Dungeon Mastering. In the afternoon, the day opens up into hands-on workshops where participants can move between creative activity stations focused on character design, youth-led one-shot adventures and collaborative campaign building.
The workshops are led by Daniel East, an internationally published games writer, award-winning creator, educator and professional Dungeon Master with more than 10 years’ experience teaching English and creative writing.
Whether you are curious about D&D for the first time or already deep into fantasy worlds, this is a welcoming and creative space to learn, play and meet others who share your interests.

Boxing Workshop - Dorrigo

FREE - BOOK ONLINEGet moving these school holidays with a free youth boxing workshop led by Dorrigo Boxing Club at Dorrigo Recreation Grounds. Open to young people aged 12 to 18, this session is a chance to learn boxing basics, build skills and give it a go in a supportive group environment.
You’ll learn a style that centres movement, confidence and “real strength” in both body and heart. Whether you are already into boxing or just keen to try something new, this is a solid chance to train, have fun and get involved.

FREEThe Bellingen Youth Hub Open Day will be packed with live music, boxing, free food and things to check out across the Hub. The day kicks off with a Dorrigo Boxing Club exhibition and intro to boxing session, followed by a Welcome to Country, a performance by Budaabang Bari and a free BBQ lunch. In the afternoon, the stage comes alive with open mic sets, local soloists and live performances from Crown Street, Purple Disturbance and Jayess. There will also be youth vox pop sessions for the ‘What Do Ya Know’ Local Drug Action Team community education podcast across the day.

FREE - BOOK ONLINEGet dressed up, grab your mates and head to the Old Gazette Theatre for a free Alice in Wonderland movie night in Dorrigo. This Youth Week event is for young people aged 12 to 18 and includes a screening of Alice in Wonderland (2010), themed snacks and a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party feast. You’re encouraged to come dressed as your favourite character, but you can also just come along and enjoy the film.
It’s a fun local night out with costumes, weird and wonderful vibes.
